REALM//STUDIO

A DJ library manager that's growing into a full deck — built to fix what Serato, rekordbox, and VirtualDJ get wrong, one proven piece at a time.

◐ Real playback engine — bedroom-tested, not yet gig-proven

Library-first, deck-second — on purpose

Most DJ software makes you fight the library to get to the music. Studio starts with the library actually working, then builds real playback on top of it.

🔎

Fast library search & smart crates

The part every other app treats as an afterthought. rekordbox import/export, so your existing collection and cue points come with you instead of starting over.

🎛️

Real-time playback + DDJ-FLX4 control

Load, play, crossfade, and tempo on two decks, with the FLX4's play/cue/crossfader/gain/tempo fader actually mapped and working. Beta — verified on one dev machine at bedroom scale, not proven for a real crowd yet.

🎚️

Harmonic & energy-based set planning

Harmonize reorders a crate by key and BPM. Energy rating and the Energy Arc show the shape of a set before you play it. A visual timeline lets you drag tracks and plan per-track gain/EQ ahead of time — no automation curves, that's deliberately out of scope.

Before you install — the honest version

Same standard REALM // TRADER holds itself to: straight answers, not marketing.

The engine is real, but it's early

Playback, hardware control, and the mixing signal path are genuinely working code, not a mockup — but they've only been run at small/bedroom scale on one development machine. Not yet proven for a real crowd or a full-length live set. Treat this build as something to try and give feedback on, not something to bring to a paying gig tonight.

Your library comes with you

rekordbox import/export means the collection and cue points you already have don't get thrown away just to try this.

!

No Terms of Use screen yet

Unlike REALM // TRADER, this build doesn't show a Terms of Use or Privacy Statement on first launch — that hasn't been built for Studio yet. Don't assume the same protections or disclosures apply here until it has.

!

You may see a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen — here's what to click

This build doesn't carry a paid code-signing certificate yet, so Windows hasn't built up enough download history to recognize it. That's what triggers this screen — it's Windows saying "I don't know this file yet," not "this file did something bad." No virus was found; there's nothing to find, since nothing has actually scanned the app's behavior at all — SmartScreen is purely a reputation check.

To continue: click More info, then Run anyway. That's it. The only judgment call worth making is before that screen — make sure you got the installer from this exact page (myrealm.me/downloads), not a link someone sent you or a mirror somewhere else. That's true of any download, signed or not.

!

Rarer case: Windows can block it silently instead

If your PC has Windows' Smart App Control turned on, it can refuse to open the app entirely — no dialog, no "Run anyway," it just doesn't launch. Check Settings → Privacy & security → Windows Security → App & browser control if that happens. One real caution: Microsoft made that setting a one-way switch — off can't be undone without reinstalling Windows — so don't flip it just to test this.

Try it, break it, tell us

This is exactly where feedback matters most — before the playback engine is asked to do more than a bedroom can test.
